Three times a week, a therapist and a psychomotor specialist visit the SOS Children’s Village Chantevent to support the children’s healing processes. With their help, the youngsters learn to understand their feelings in order to better deal with frustration, fear or anger, but also to gain and regain confidence in their own abilities and talents as well as to trust in others. In addition to psychological support, this is mainly achieved through the funded Crea & Culture programme, which includes sports activities, art, music and theater classes, and exploration excursions.
Children growing up in this Belgian SOS Children’s Village have had traumatic and painful experiences in the past. Some of the children suffer from behavioral and emotional instability and therefore require special care.
