A total of about 40 children between 7 and 15 years old live in this SOS Children’s Village. We sponsor seven children in particular, who receive special therapy with bespoke psychological support, trauma healing and ergotherapy. These children’s individual needs differ significantly due to their unique circumstances. Classic psychotherapeutic treatment is not enough to get them back on track and for a healthy development. To overcome trauma, in-depth therapeutic treatment with a variety of different measures is necessary.
Bucharest is the largest city in Romania, and it has grown even further over the past few years because many people come here looking for work. Although children’s lives in Romania have improved, it is still very difficult for many families to give their offspring the care they need.
