An estimated 857,000 children under the age of 18 live in Albania. Unfortunately, many of these children, particularly those who have lost custody of their parents, face increased risks of prejudice, abuse, and exploitation.
Among these difficulties, however, there is a ray of hope: the SOS Children's Village Tirana. Children and adolescents discover more than simply a safe place to stay; they also receive love, care, and support. Each child's individual needs are met, both emotionally and physically, promoting rehabilitation and growth. Furthermore, on-site, struggling families are given the materials they require, such as seeds and seedlings, allowing them to produce nutritional meals for their children. Specialised initiatives for child development and nutrition upgrades are made possible by the constant support of the LR Global Kids Fund e.V.
Your contribution is more than a donation; it is a lifeline for these young souls. It exemplifies the continuing power of compassion and the notion that every kid deserves a chance to heal, flourish, and dream of a better tomorrow. Your generosity fuels these ambitions and delivers rays of hope into the lives of people who need it the most. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of Albania's future generations.
Local circumstances
Tirana is the capital of Albania. It is home to 420,000 people. Even though the living conditions for Albanian children have significantly improved in recent years, youths in this country still face a multitude of problems. Extreme poverty is widespread, particularly in rural areas, and people are only slowly beginning to assert their right to an education. Many families are struggling to get the health care they need, and they often have to rely on external aid.
