World Bicycle Day
The bicycle is a human-powered two-wheeled land vehicle. Today is European Bicycle Day.
This special day was introduced in 1998 and draws attention to the increasing environmental pollution caused by motorised traffic. This day has been an official UN day since 12 April 2018.
Especially in times of the corona pandemic, a bike ride through nature feels like a tonic. It is one of the only real treats we can enjoy with friends or family during this time of limited options.
