Ψυχολογική Υποστήριξη και Ενδυνάμωση
Σε ένα περιβάλλον γεμάτο φροντίδα και οικογενειακή ατμόσφαιρα, τα παιδιά στο Παιδικό Χωριό SOS στη Βάρη μπορούν να επουλώσουν τις ψυχικές τους πληγές και να ξεπεράσουν τα τραύματά τους. Μαθαίνουν να δημιουργούν υγιείς σχέσεις με τον εαυτό τους και με τους άλλους ανθρώπους. Αυτή είναι η βάση για την υγιή ανάπτυξη της αυτοεκτίμησης και της αυτοπεποίθησής τους. Επιπλέον, αποκτούν την ικανότητα να αντιμετωπίζουν και να ξεπερνούν τις ιδιαίτερες προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζουν. Στόχος είναι η ενίσχυση της εσωτερικής τους δύναμης και της ανθεκτικότητάς τους, ώστε να προετοιμαστούν για ένα μέλλον με αυτοδιάθεση. Υποστηρίζονται από έμπειρους ψυχολόγους μέσω ατομικών ή ομαδικών συνεδριών.

Τοπικές Συνθήκες
Λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης, πολλές οικογένειες δεν ήταν πλέον σε θέση να φροντίσουν επαρκώς τα παιδιά τους. Από το 2015, δίνεται επίσης έμφαση σε μέτρα έκτακτης βοήθειας για τα παιδιά προσφύγων που φτάνουν στην Ελλάδα.
