International Women's Day
International Women's Day is a global day of action, promoting equality for women and girls, and their right to a life free from discrimination, disadvantage, and oppression or violence.
Girls and women are often disadvantaged from birth, more so than boys and men, often due to traditional roles that persist in many parts of the world.
Girls and women should have the same opportunities as boys and men: to lead a self-determined and happy life, pursue a career that brings them joy, be paid equally to their male colleagues, and have an equal say in decision-making.
The right to a good life doesn't depend on gender or background. It's a right for everyone.
