12 June 2026 - World Day Against Child Labour

Child labour steals childhoods

12 June marks World Day Against Child Labour – a powerful reminder that, around the world, children are still forced to work instead of growing up safe, learning, and simply being children. Child labour isn’t just physical exhaustion. It steals time to learn, to play, to be a child – and robs children of vital chances for their future.

At LR Global Kids Fund e.V., we support projects that give children stability, strengthen families, and open up new perspectives. Because when you empower a child, you empower the future of our society.

The Facts

Did you know?

Around 138 million children worldwide are affected by child labour. Of those, roughly 54 million do hazardous work that puts their health, safety or development at risk. Sub-Saharan Africa is hit hardest, with around 87 million children affected. The majority of child labour happens in agriculture.
