Astrid-Lindgren Special Needs School - Together for a Good Start to the Day

The Astrid-Lindgren School supports children and young people with special educational needs from Year 1 to Year 10. However, many of the younger pupils come to school without breakfast – due to difficult social circumstances. Often, not only food but also weather-appropriate clothing is missing, which makes the school day even harder.

A daily breakfast is intended to give the children a better start to the day and strengthen their concentration in lessons. A dedicated helper with catering experience, a well-equipped kitchen, and a breakfast room are already in place – what's needed is financial support for regular implementation.

The project was nominated by our sponsoring member Doreen Henke.
