Aid project France
In France, the LR Global Kids Fund supports children and adolescents who have to live with the life-shortening disease cystic fibrosis. The goal is to support them in their vocational integration and to offer them and their families a helping hand in dealing with the disease.
Exercise is particularly important for children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis: It removes the mucus from their lungs, improves their physical bulk and builds up general strength. Furthermore, it has a positive effect on their self-esteem. This is why they should be encouraged to take part in as many physical activities as possible.
Annually, one of these camps is held in Chamonix: here, the children have the opportunity to participate in sportive activities in a camp, located closely to the Mont Blanc. Activities involve e.g. mountain biking, snow hiking, climbing and skating.
The LR Global Kids Fund provides financial support to this French project, in order to improve the lives of 6,000 children and adolescents suffering from cystic fibrosis.
