Aid Project Bulgaria

In Bulgaria, the LR Global Kids Fund supports newborns and infants for a sheltered start to life. Thousands of parents in Bulgaria abandon their children - even when they are still infants - for various social and economic reasons. The care demands of the large number of needy children are often inadequately met by the state institutions. This results in a poor medical and personal care.

In cooperation with a local aid organisation, the LR Global Kids Fund supports the "Family House" project - a home for abandoned newborns and infants. As an alternative to the heavily overburdened state welfare system, the "Family House" was founded to provide small children with a sheltered environment. A team of qualified social workers and pedagogues takes care of the children in a sheltered environment which is to replace the family structures in the short term. Through loving care infants with special requirements also receive urgently needed support.
