Selective Mutism: A Summer Full of Joy – A Camp for Children with Anxiety Disorders
Some children live with a profound anxiety disorder that prevents them from speaking at school, at home, or in social settings. This silence is not defiance but an expression of deep insecurity and emotional distress.
The summer camp offers these children a safe space where they can enjoy their holidays without worries – free from the everyday challenges their anxieties bring. The focus is on their well-being, their joy, and the feeling of simply being allowed to be a child.
With lovingly designed activities and an empathetic environment, an atmosphere is created that instils confidence and enables positive experiences – a valuable step towards more lightness, inner strength, and zest for life.
The project was nominated by our sponsoring member Nathalie Nail.
